Facilitation Services

The word Facilitation is rooted in the French word meaning "easy." Facilitation is the act of making easy or easier.

Northward facilitators help groups and teams decide upon desired objectives and as catalysts of change "ease" the road to success. Northward facilitators all have extensive experience facilitating small and large team work with both the private-sector and federal-government clients. All have extensive business experience combined with a solid foundation in facilitation theory. Our skills include:

  • Agenda design - including identification of clear objectives and desired outcomes
  • Process design—ensuring a balance of individual, small and large group processes to achieve desired results
  • Balancing the defined agenda with "what comes up" in the meeting, which may be more important than the issues identified in the agenda
  • Identifying key roles and responsibilities
  • Ensuring all voices of the system are heard
  • Observing group behaviors
  • Revealing group behaviors to the group
